Firstly the thing that to me makes lee stand out is that he bridges the gap between combatives and reality based martial arts. He is a man who puts his signature in all his DVDs and materials.
His every DVD has his own signature style on it and lee always ties theories to his own experience and real life situations and scanerios aswell as the level of advice he provides on each topic is in quiet in depth.
Lee covers both physical and psychological aspects in his trainning method, and explains them thoroughly.
Lee starts of with an introductions to himself and then follows it up with an introduction to the hard hiting and brutal reality of knife defence, through cctv footage of knife attacks even though some of the images are brutal and hard to watch, make you cry aswell as giving you flash back of your own expereinces of violent encounters with edged weapon, they hammer in the point and reality of knife attacks and that this is a serious matter and how lucky you are to survive. My first impressions were that it was quiet informative from the beginning.
And lee goes through how to identify someone who has intent to hurt you, the effects of adrelene on him and how that may change his behaviour and how it will effect you, the body language to watch for, how and where the most common places weapons are concealed, how they would deploy the weapon, ambush attacks, ambush tactics, methods of concealment, access and disguised carry and the frenzied adreline attack that would take place in a actual knife attack. Lee is brutal with the truth and does not cover any facts he tells it as it is and is honest about knife defence.
We are then taken through the interview stage of the attack, hence the importance of situational control, observing where the hands are and understanding body language cues.
through the whole DVd'S LEE STRESS'S MINDSET and The need to keep fighting until there’s nothing left to fight about.
Lee also covers the angels of attack, tactics and defences against knife attacks, and so much more.
Lee then goes on give some good advice and trainning tips.
Lee also has an excellent module on offensive knife use, Emergency knife first aid, the legal side of knife defence and attacks, debriefing, crisis management. And a whole lot more.
Lee goes onto say no one art or person has the ansawer to knife defence.
This is not enough to cover everything lee goes through in this set of DVD's, he goes through a lot more and in more in depth with a lot of great advice and tips all the way along aswell as real life footage.
I think lee's stuff is worth having a look at and is very usefull.
i WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND IT, but it is hard hitting and in your face with Reality DVD Set and lee makes no attempt to hide any of the realities from the viewer.
